YOUTH MENTORSHIP AND NATURE GUIDANCE with Caleb Peretz
Through one-on-one and small group sessions, I aim to guide students within the realms that I am most passionate about and experienced in. When I was in school I had a very difficult time with the conventional pedagogy models, which led me through a career experience of working with independent schools, education farms, land-based organizations, agricultural businesses, and non-profit summer camps.
Recently, I have worked as a farm teacher at a kinder through high school and am currently teaching math and science at a private outdoor academy. I aim to provide a space for relaxation, play, exploration, independence, interdependence and most importantly teach a sense of personal responsibility, including knowledge of healthy lifestyle and a purposeful meaning of land stewardship. This is accomplished by letting the student’s natural gifts and interests steer the direction we go. I love providing mentorship through casual conversation, land work, and academic tutoring.
nature therapy - tending cows / sheep / chickens - spiritual connection to land stewardship
regenerative agriculture - holistic grazing - nutrition - healthy habits - cooking
farming - gardening - beekeeping - music lessons (saxophone, drums, piano)
The program can be customized to meet specific needs, ages, interests, scheduling, finances, collaborations, and seasons. I take great care in my passion to guide the youth into building a brighter future. I wish for all humans to learn to be themselves and act freely from the heart.
ORGANIC FARM EGGS
Offering half and full dozen eggs from our eclectic laying and guinea hens, and our ducks. Everyone is given an organic feed, they eat bugs and clovers from the pasture, and take shade under the oak trees. They generously provide us and neighbors with a beautiful batch of colorful and healthy eggs. A mix of Bard-rocks, Americanas, Easter Eggers, Arucanas, Leghorns, Copper Marans, Rhode Island Reds, Welsummers, Golden Laced Wyandotte, and Dominant Coppers.

FARM INTERNSHIP
We are offering an opportunity for an intern to live and work at the farmstead for a work-trade agreement for this 2022 season. Please reach out if you are interested in this opportunity!
““This is my first time doing a Farm Internship so I’m learning so much. I’ve been helping with the greenhouse routine, seeding and sending love. Broad-forking, hoeing, mulching beds and then planting into them; it’s the whole process. Watering constantly. What a great farm. It’s fun watching everything grow. I feel ready to start my own garden at home. I’m grateful for the experience. There are also tons of animals to interact with — sheep, cows, chickens, cats, dogs, ducks, bees… a friendly reminder to get out and chill. Love it here.””
