He is mesmerized by nature’s magic and has already begun napping under the canopy of oaks, pines, firs, and willow. He spends his days at the frog pond and river and is constantly watering the growing farm. He loves watching the baby chicks and getting kisses from Gwen the Goose. He visits the cows and loves watching the grass move in the wind, while listening to the honey bees buzz. His best friends are el burro, the flying cranes, the heart earth and the shooting star. He is growing up with the aunties and uncles he chose.

One of the first neighbors we met here in Husum, when we first landed The Community Farmstead was Kathy, she welcomed us warmly, walking in the first giving garden we planted, she connected us to other neighbors and continued to believe in this service work of land regeneration and community building. Kathy is joining us during this third growing season, dedicating her time and energy towards the daily tending of the garden, seeding, watering, weeding, and praying. We are lucky to have her care here and she roots us deep into the layers of community support.
